MS Vista - Error Recovery Mode

Had to abort a set of auto updates due to lock-up. Now, every time I boot
up, it boots into Error Recovery Mode. How do I get out of this without
reimaging? Lap top, no SP yet.

Try tapping f8 on startup to get to a menu with more options.
