MS Virtual Machine

We have XP installed and somewhere we lost our virtual
machine option on internet explorer. When trying to find
a download on the internet, all we get is
the "Transitioning from MS to Java Virtual Machine". We
would like to know where or how to get MS back and
Runtime.
We downloaded Java Runtime, but our machine runs very
slow after, so we uninstalled it.
