I recently purchased the wireless mouse and keyboard and after installing
the drivers for the mouse and keyboard the screensaver on my Dell Dimension
8300 stopped working. After some sleuthing through the newsgroups, I
discovered the root cause is a TSR that Dell installs on the system. It is
Dell Media Experience and if you use msconfig to stop "PCMService.exe" from
loading the screensaver will work. For now I just use selective startup and
have it unchecked in msconfig. I was told by an MS hardware support tech
that other OEM software is also causing problems. He said they may fix the
problem and I assume they would update the drivers to get around the
problems.
