MS Spyware slows down Shortcuts

I have MS AntiSpyware installed. When This is running,
using a shortcut key (ctrl + Alt + x) the window does not
open for approx. 10 secs.Close the Prog. and the shortcut
works instantly.

Other users have reported similar experiences.
Only suggestion is to continue disabling or uninstall MSAS until beta 2, if
beta 1 is currently impeding your productivity. But I am sure the MSAS Team
is looking into your query.

Machine WILL slow down, as the hard drive is being
accessed by MSAS. The same sort of thing happens when
running Ad-aware. When Ad-Aware was scanning my system
last night, StuffIt Deluxe took about 30 seconds to start
compressing a folder, and was VERY slow in compressing
the folder. When I aborted the scan, StuffIt Deluxe
immediately started compressing the folder VERY quickly.

Any application that scans the hard drive WILL slow down
the system as well.

Remember, most PCs only utilize one processor, not dual
processors. Most processors also DO NOT multitask, the
system only appears to do so because the OS switches
between tasks VERY quickly.
