Paul

i am trying to install Office 2000 on a 2000 terminal
server using the companies select CD's. I have tried to
run the setupppro.exe and setupstd.exe in conjunction with
with "termsrvr.mst" file using the Transforms switch. It
gave an error each time both from CD and network install
directory. Doe anyone know if this works? Do I need a
standard copy of office using only setup.exe? Any help
would be appreciated.

Thanks

Thanks Patrick.. However, there is no "Setup.exe" this is
from the client select CD's which has "setuppro.exe"
and "setupstd.exe". I have installed this before using
the "termsrve.mst" file, but never using a MS Select CD.
When I try to run the installs, I get a grey text screen
only. I think I need to get another copy of Office 2K!
Any other thoughts?

run setup /a from a workstation to put an administrative
installation point in a network share. This stores the
installation key, so users aren't prompted for it when
they open office.
Then run the setup from the TS while in installation mode
( "change user /install" or add/remove programs). The
setup path should look like:
DriveLetter:\InstallationPointShare\SETUP.EXE TRANSFORMS=DriveLetter:\PathToTransform\TERMSRVR.MST

I Highly recommend that you integrate the latest Office
2000 Service Pack into the installation point, instead of
running the setup from the original media.
