My office was recently upgraded to XP. I was told that
the Publisher 98 program not compatible with XP. Do I
need to buy a new version or there are fixes to this
program that will enable it to work with XP? If so how
and where do I find them?

Thanks for any help out there.

Who told you? Have you tried to install it and see for yourself. Maybe
someone can give you a more definite answer than this, but I have found that
the way to find out about things like this is to try them fist before
spending my hard earned money. You may have to upgrade but you will not
know until you try and I will bet you will be surprised.

Strange. I could have sworn that's exactly what Rob said, except rephrased
into a non-helpful reply.
Bit of a wasted post, methinks.

I reckon it will work, Cindy.
I'm running MS FrontPage2000, MS Works (vintage 1985), and quite a few full
DOS databases without any problems.

windows XP has this feature to run your application under
what windows version it is compatible with.
1. find the .exe file of the publisher it should be in the
program group.
2. open its properties and click compatibility tab
3. select the OS which its is most compatible
googluck..

Why would she need to do this as every version of Publisher runs flawlessly
under XP?

There is a group specifically for Publisher at microsoft.public.publisher.
