MS programs

I am running win XP home ed. I also have Office XP installed on my system.
For some strange reason, any time I invoke Word, or Power Point, or Front
Page, up comes the "Windows installer" and it goes ahead and seemingly re
installs whatever application I want to use. Everything else is fine, and
everything works fine, But WHY does it continue to re install these
programs over and over? If anyone knows what is causing this, I'd sure be
grateful. Spirit
