When I try to paste a photo (jpeg) from "My Pictures" it is enlarged to at
least 4 times the size of the screen, when I go to view its down sided to
100%.

Is there a way to get this to normal size, am I missing something?
TIA

========================================
When you see the enlarged image...you are seeing it
at the actual size. Some programs will force an image
to display full screen some will not. MS Paint...will
display the image at *actual* size.

You may want to download and install the excellent
freeware IrfanView...it's a more useful program than
MS Paint.

IrfanView 3.85
http://www.tucows.com/preview/194967.html
(get the plug-ins too)

Example...lets say you have a 5mp digital image that is:
2592x1944... lets say you have your screen size set to:
1024x768...guess what? The image is about 6 times
the size of your screen.

So...if you wish to gurantee that an image will always
fit on the screen...you have to resize it. Example...
a good size for e-mail purposes is 640x480.

I guess you're running WinXP or you wouldn't
be here...right?

OK, go to the following link and download and
install: ImageResizer.exe

http://tinyurl.com/36n

Then you can open any folder that contains
images and you will have an option to resize.
Just right click the selected image files and
choose Resize Pictures from the menu. You
can select one image or a whole group.

The program will place the resized copies in
the folder with your originals.
(Tip: *Never* overwrite your originals)

BTW...when resizing if you go to...Advanced
Button / Custom...and enter 640 in each field...
that will be a good size for e-mail purposes.
