ms outlook and vista

When I click the mail tab in ie7 the window does not open but appears in the
bar at the bottom. When I click it it will open. Can I have it open without
the click?

Which mail program? If Outlook, try the Outlook newsgroups,
or perhaps the Vista General newsgroup:
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windows.vista.general
