hi,

Currently i was sharing a pc (wind xp prof) with other person. Is that
anyway can configured a user account in Ms Outlook (user ID/Pw) to prevent
other person view your outlook mails?

Any hit will sincerely appreciated.

Thanks

Regards

If you both login with the same user id on the pc, then the best that could
be done is to password protect the personal folders file. This is done by
right clicking on "personal folders" in the folder list and select
properties > advanced.

ps - do not lose or forget this password as there is no way to reset/recover
it if forgotten.

No, you cannot create a user account, or Identity as in Outlook Express, for
a separate user in Outlook. If you password-protect your Outlook.pst file
then the other person would not be able to use Outlook at all. But if you are
sharing a PC with Windows XP, the best thing would be to create a Windows
profile or user account for the other person. You would also need to make
sure that you are not sharing your documents folder, otherwise he/she could
have access to your files.
