I appear to have no end of problems with Word since doing a complete
reinstall. First, it was the "Recently Used File List" not working (a
helpful poster cured this problem) and now, in an attempt to use "Find
And Replace" function to change some specific Font formatting in a
long document, it just tells me it can find nothing to replace. Any
hints as to what the heck is going on?

Whenever Find fails to find something you know is present, you can be pretty
sure that there's a setting off somewhere. Sometimes it's formatting
remaining from a previous Find (less likely in this case); sometimes it's
"Match case" or "Use wildcards" (or the lack of them). What specific font
formatting are you searching for?

I'm trying to replace a chapter font (Umbra) with a 'Campbell' font.
There are 56 Chapters, so I really don't want to have to do manually
if I don't have to. I wasn't using any of the above mentioned options
and it had been a very long time since I did a find in any case.

I'm not sure what you mean by "chapter font," but if you mean that it's the
font used for the chapter titles, then can't you just change the font of the
chapter heading style? In any case, to do this in Replace, make sure that
both "Find what" and "Replace with" boxes are empty.

Changing the chapter heading style is just what it won't do.
