MS Notepad Program

I want to change the MS Notepad program to Notetab Standard as the program
that automatically opens for text files...Is there a way to do this & not
have it revert BACK to MS Notepad? Many thanks for everyone's tiem &
help...Never been disappointed in getting an answer fro mthe Newsgroups

Not too sure what a "Notetab Standard" is but if you want to make ms notepad
the default program to read all text files (that is files with .txt
extension), simply right-click the file you are trying to open, then select
'Open with' and choose Notepad from the list. Make sure to place a check in
the box where it says; 'Always use this program to open these files.

Investigate the ASSOC command.
From the command prompt:
assoc /?

You both made realize I needed to go to the Folder Options & change the
program listing there to the one I wanted to replace MS Notepad program...I
ALWAY get results from the Newsgroups!!
