MS .Net Framework version 1.1 downloads but won't install

Anybody know how to resolve an issue of the .Net Framework
Windows 2000 update (from Windows Update) downloading but
not installing? My HDD crashed, replaced HDD and have
reloaded Win2kPro. All updates except for this one will
successfully download & install. Thanks and Happy

I've noticed this problem on 2 different machine in the
last few days - it seems to be a new problem as I've been
updating workstations regularly over the past few months.

If there's a Microsoft person on this group, please
provide some insight, this error is making the rounds on a
bunch of newgroups.
