I have just installed Money 2003 on my new Windows Vista. However, when I
load it up a warning box comes up saying that a update has been installed and
to activate the update re-start the computer, if that fails re-install. I
have tried both of these, can anyone help with this?

Thanks,

Drew

I suspect you need to upgrade to a newer version of Money as you are running
a version 4 years old.

not necessarily, I use Money 2000 and it works great with no problems.

any idea what the update is and whether or not you need it.
if the update is from windows update, there is usually an option box to ignore it.
if it comes from money. there might be something in the options for money or money express to turn off the auto updates.
since I am not running the exact same version it is hard to tell.

Any ideas on how to stop the message saying I have to activate an update? Ta

no idea, thats whats so annoying. a dialogue box comes up saying that an
update has been downloaded and to activate it i need to restart/reinstall
money, neither of which work!

i have looked into update history and cant seem to find anything?

Gut feeling, start it once as an administrator, let it do it's update,
shut down (don't touch anything other then auto-update related settings
if needed), then launch as an app again and see if you're good to go.

Yea, tried that and still the message comes!

Guess I will have to live with it unless anyone else has any ideas?
