How can I completely diable or remove ms messenger or
would this negatively affect other programs on my
computer? I do not directly use ms messenger and have
never signed onto it. I have disabled it by editing the
startup programs when typing "msconfig" on thr run
command. Everytime I disable it this way, it comes right
back. If it does me no good and slow me down when
starting up, I would like to get ride of it..

open program files and look for the MSN messenger folder, rename it and
that's it. If messenger is running in the task bar, close it first.
