Greetings --

A "new" installation of the OS should wipe out everything, so,

Will new installation of Windows XP wipe out preexisting MS-JVM on
my machine?

Bruce- Thanks for your reply. What if I am upgrading from an old SP of XP (that came with MS-JVM) to a new XP SP that does not have XP? Will it remove JVM? Can I do an incremental upgrade, so it does not remove pre-existing MS-JVM? TIA.

Greetings --

I've never tried this, but I suspect that you'd lose the JVM. If
so, simply reinstall it. Microsoft's Java Virtual Machine is still
available from a lot of 3rd-party web sites, some of which are listed
here: http://www.java-virtual-machine.net/download.html.
