I seem to recall that you need the file name in 8.3 format. Try renaming
your dBase file.

Anytime I try to LINK or IMPORT a DBASE IV database exported from Visual
Foxpro (exported as dbaseIV) I get this error

"The Microsoft jet database engine could not find the object
'export-tbs.dbf'. Make sure the object exists and that you spell its name
and path name correctly".

This database file name and path are correct but it will not do it.

ANY IDEAS?

Mike

Hi Mike

The solution offered by Mr. Steele is absolutely correct. Try renaming your
database to the 8.3 format ( 8 letters/numbers for the file name ) and if there
is an associated Memo file ( . DBT ext) don't forget to rename it also.
