We have an issue were if your boot up in LAN mode then
disconnect and go to wireless mode, you loose bi-
directional IM conversations unless you first logoff, then
switch from LAN to wireless mode, then re-login.

Any other work-arounds out there?
 
Your main IP address changed when you went from LAN to wireless... If
your IM client will not detect the IP address change and report it to
the network (I don't know one that actually does this), you would lose
the ability to recieve any new connections.

This is by design (and a bug in Messenger)
