MS FTP apparently not available, Please help

information, not particularly difficult to follow. I have Windows2000 Pro on
this computer and have previously had FTP working on a Folder in my G: drive.
I have not had to use it for some time and have used MS FileFolder to allow my
sons in UK to keep up with the photos on my computer.

However one son has the cheek to use a MAC (I blamed the weather in London for
his choice). For that reason I need the MS FTP as in the URL above. He has
previously used that, allthough he denies it. I blame whiskey intake for his
lack of memory - he has downloaded 3 scanned photos that came out at 25MB each
and I have only 30 MB web space in total. So you see it has been working. I have
also been to a neighbour as I cannot see the file myself for some reason.I
acertained that it was working fine.

I follow the instruction slavishly and still no result. I wonder if the
installation of MS FileFolder could possibly affect the workings of the above
file as I see not other reason.

I have been at the router and told it to open port 21 and now that is the only
port that Symantics check as open

I'm not sure if I understand your question, but if it's about setting
up the IIS FTP server, I can't help you with that. However, there are
plenty of other free or cheap, and excellent FTP servers out there. I
like Filezilla Server, available at
<http://filezilla.sourceforge.net/>.
