I just got back from Borders. I looked for Jim's book and found it. I'll
admit to being a little bit cheap (I prefer to call it York County
Conservative) but I glanced thru it and it seems to be what I need. I got
the the register and saw that next weekend they are having an Armed Forces
Day discount. 20% off for memebers of the military, their dependents, and
veterans. Guess what? My copy is on hold until next Friday. US Army,
1974-1975. $9 is almost enough for a tank of gas.

Thanks for the recommendation!

before you wait that long check out Amazon.com as they've sometimes got used
ones super cheap. depending on your "York county" syndrome you may want to
do a google search for used books etc. I've gotten lots of super deals
online on used books.

I appreciate the advice but two things get in the way.
(1) I prefer to support "brick and mortar" stores whenever possible.
(2) I prefer new books over used. Unless they are antiques.

Have you tried this? This may work for you. I have a copy I will never use
and do not need and you can have if you are a True Yankee.

Define a "True Yankee". I was born and raised north of the Mason-Dixon,
albeit only about 30 miles north thereof. I was stationed in Alabama and
Oklahoma for a short while. Lived in Texas for a few months. But I do know
that the North won the Civil War. <ducking for cover>
