Hi, i am having a problem accessing my website from fp2000.
In XP i could create a network address and open the the website in FP from
that network.
Currently i can create pages and publish to the site, but cant actually open
the website as a web.

I have tried to create a network in vista, but only get the message that the
folder is invalid, and when i open the site in FP as a web i get "the folder
isnt accessable. the folder may be located on an unavailable volume or
protected with a password." i dont get a password entry box or anything. can
you please help?

Does the website have FrontPage Extensions installed and running? You
can publish to an FTP site from FrontPage, but you cannot open an FTP
site in FrontPage.

thanks for helping, the site has frontpage extensions and is a http site, if
that helps

Delete all the network addresses (I assume you mean [in XP] network
places) you have created for the site. Then try to open the site in
FrontPage using File->Open Site. FrontPage will create a Network Place
(or Vista equivalent) if it succeeds in opening the site.

If it fails, try reinstalling the extensions, or running a server health
check on the site to correct any incorrect permissions.
