MS Fax date format

My computer is set for UK date format ddmmyy. When using fax console the added header that is put on the fax of time and date and sender, the date is formatted as American mmddyy. If I use a cover page, the date format within the cover page comes out correct for UK but the header at the top is still in American format. I there a registry entry that needs altering? or is it something more simple. Have tried uninstalling fax and reinstalling but this did not solve problem. Any help much appreciated
