MS Fax and Outlook 2003 - Address Books

A group at my company had been using MS fax very successfully so send faxes
to a single address. They go through hundreds of these a day. It was
working just fine choosing it out of the address book - two mouse clicks and
maybe 5 seconds. Then we installed Outlook. Now it is 4 clicks and maybe 20
seconds. Needless to say they are less than thrilled with our "upgrade".

Is there a way to have MS fax use its own address book and not be forced to
use Outlook's addressbook?

Thanks,
Paul

Not sure I understand. Both address books take the same number of steps and
the same amount of time here.
Assuming you actually mean Windows XP Fax, it will use the default address
book you specify for your operating system. You can set it back to using the
WAB if you prefer.

The problem is the way our Exchange address books are implimented and that
our server is very far away causing delays.

I would love to know how I can set the Windows XP fax address book to be
outside of our exchange system.

'Control Panel|Internet Options|Programs', set the "Contact List" to use
"Address Book" instead of "Microsoft Office Outlook".
