MS Excel 2003 should allow you to have several documents open in different
windows, each with their own view of the application, like the way MS Word
does.

The way it works today limits my ability to do work. I like to move windows
around across 2 monitors so that I can see information. Excel today limits my
view to one monitor.

Actually you can run another instance of Excel. Just go to the
run command on the start menu and type Excel. You will receive
a warning that your personal.xls is locked.

BTW how is this a crash or GPF?

You can also stretch Excel across the two monitors, open two files and use
Window / Arrange to see them both.
