I've been prompted to turn on my system in MS-Dos. I
don't see that option through XP when I restart, nor can
I figure out how, can someone answer this question?

Thanks,

MS-Dos doesn't exist in Windows. There is a command line interpreter which
runs most DOS applications (look in your Start menu under Accessories for
Command Prompt. What program is prompting you to restart in DOS? It may
not be compatible with XP, have you checked?

Hello, my system is in dutch, so I am not sure if I will
make the correct translation ;
go via start, all programs, office accesoires, command
prompt
this is the way I go into dos
hope it could help you.
Best regards,
Gina

XP is not written on or over DOS and therefore does not
have it. There is a Command line interpreter or interface
but this is not DOS. It is only a DOS emulator. Any
program that is entirely DOS will most likely not run at
all or will only have certain functions activated in XP.
DOS is a dinosaur and like them will become extinct. There
is newer and better. Good luck.

If only my batch file--which uses xcopy32 to copy some
files from a CD to a set location on a PC, knew that then
it might update itself for use on Win XP. Now I have to re-
write the batch file but are not sure how for use on XP.
Any suggestions?
Cheers
Gavin

The XCopy32 command still exists and it's usage hasn't changed much. Type
xcopy32 /? from the command prompt for usage...
