can any one help, when i attempt to run various games i get a message the fallowing message


C:WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows application.



mostly when i attempt to run any thing 95. Can any one give me any suggestions?
Currently I am running wp home edition,

Also can be caused by a Trojan installing a file windupdater.exe and
creating registry entries for that file.

AVAST (free antivirus software) can be the cause if SP2 is installed:

You can put back the standard version of autoexec.nt by copying a backup
copy held in windows\repair to windows\system32.
 
Fix your system time please.

You might try making shortcuts to the file that runs the program and put them on your desktop. Right click a shortcut, choose Properties, click on the Compatibility tab at the top. Try running the program in Compatibility mode for a previous Windows version. I had a program that wouldn't run in Win XP but I did the above and ran it in Compatibility mode for Windows 95 and it works fine.

This is not hte answer. The OP has gotten his AUTOEXEC.NT files removed/damaged in C:\Windows\system32. They need to copy the file from C;:\Windows\repair to solve this.
