Hello,

Using the new vers of WORD via OFFICE 2007

Have downloaded the MS OFFICE Compatibility Package which apparently allows
one to switch back and forth between older and this new version more easily.

Do I have to enable it in WORD manually, or is it already enabled and in
place
automatically ?

if it should be enabled manually, where do I do it in WORD, please ?

Thanks,
B.

If you have office 2007 then you don't need the compatibility pack. (I'm a
bit surprised that it actually installed....)
The compatibility pack is to enable those users who have versions of Office
prior to 2007 to read the new default Office 2007 document formats.
If you are sending documents to users of prior versions of Office who don't
have the compatibility pack then just do a "Save As" and choose 97-2003
version...
