According to the AutoFix log, seems like the system didn't even detect the
Flash card insertion.
Let try a few things, in the following order:
1) Verify it's indeed the patch that caused the problem: Add/Remove Program,
check the view update checkbox on top, and uninstall the patch.
2) Try another flash reader and see if that kicks off Autoplay.
3) Try updating the flash reader's driver. (long shot)
4) Reset user settions: Delete
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\AutoplayHandlers key
to reset Autoplay user settings (such as Take No Action <on picture arrival)
5) Verify handler registration: export
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\AutoplayHandlers and
we will take a look.
6) Verify that Plug and Play events are happening for the flashcard
insertion. Download a diagnostic tool (PnPMon) from here:
http://noeld.com/programs.asp?cat=dstools. Disclaimer: PnPMon is NOT MS
software! No Warrantee is implied, use at own risk.
Please let me know if this helped

Can you, please, try this and let us know if it works for you?

Here's the log. The flashdrive works when a flashcard is inserted - but I
must use WE to download the pics and delete them from the camera - a real
PIA. The scanner and camera wizard stopped working after a MS update about
a month ago.

I need the MS camera & scanner wizard to come up when the flashcard is
inserted like it did before the Update. I'm sick over this. :-(

I hope someone here can help. I have a flash card reader on my HP PC and
a flashcard in my camera. When I inserted the card in the reader on the
PC the MS camera and scanner wizard would come up. It worked flawlessly
for 23 months. In seconds the pics were named, unloaded and the card
cleared and replaced in the camera. Then suddenly, after a critical
update (and I don't know which one) the wizard stopped appearing.
Downloading the pics through WE is a real pain and takes a lot more time.
It takes even longer using the camera's cable (and still no Wizard).
Anyone have a clue why the Wizard no longer comes up when the flashcard is
inserted in the flash-reader?
