MS beta keeps firewall from loading at start up, Normal?

I use Mcafee internet security suite. It starts to load at startup ( turns
red ) then as MS antispy is loading it goes grey, when you put mouse over
Mcafee it states that firewall is disabled. After MS loads it turns back on.
Is this normal? If not how do I correct this? I also have noticed that
sometimes at start up I will have two MS icons load then one will disappear
after a time, usually when I hold my mouse over the icons. Not sure about
this also. Any help on either would be great.
 
I have after a year in monitoring thes NS's the the are major conflicts
between MSAS and Mcafee, and Norton AS programs. Personally I would
recommend using Ad-Aware --Free version and Ewido--Free version and MSAS. I
think these are far superior to both Msafee and Norton.
I also recommend PcCillin 2006--Highly recommended.
