.......but Lavasoft Ad-Aware didn't. Why ? I'd had MS AS sitting on my PC
(agents on) for months, and suddenly I find I have MSGPlus 3 and a mass
mailer program sitting on my PC. Not a peep from MS AS....

Could they have been transferred via MSN Messenger ?

Seeing as how one has to actively download Messenger Plus!, and then that
person has to also install Messenger Plus!, I doubt that it "just appeared.
Someone in your household installed this Messenger add-on.

It can be installed either with sponsor support, or without. You DO NOT want
the sponsor support, as it add all sorts of crap to your computer (adware).
Even if it is installed without the sponsor support, MSAS detects it because
it "might" have installed adware on your computer. If that is the case, just
choose to "always ignore" the detection, as I have done.

MSGPlus3 is NOT spyware or adware. MSGPlus3 does not contain ANY spyware or
adware. Only the MSGPlus3 installer has adware, which is 100% optional.
Once the software is installed, Microsoft Antispyware should have no reason
to complain about this very useful and much used Messenger plugin. If it
does, complain to Microsoft for false detection and lies.
