Are you sure that Internet Explorer is working online when you attempt to
retrieve updates?

I'm using WinXP SP2.

I installed GhostSurf Pro and found I couldn't access the internet so I
uninstalled it.
Everything is OK except that MSAntiS updater cannot access the internet. I
checked the settings on Zone Alarm Firewall and they are OK.Windows firewall
is off. (I am guessing that the problem was caused by GhostSurf.)

Will using "netsh Winsock reset" , as described in previous post
(Disconnected from internet after installing MS Anti spyware - posted by
mrpcr) cure the problem?
Or could you advise me of another soln.
