Dear Bill,
Hi again........
This, and other posts re: short date format were helpful to me. Thank you.
MSAS 'System Summary' and 'Quick Stats' now display 'definitions' dates
correctly.
An observation:
My short date format was 'M/dd/yyyy', appearing at the bottom of the
drop-down list. I reset it to 'd/MM/yyyy' - default setting, top of list.
The
'M/dd/yy' entry, thereafter, disappeared from the list [?!].
I recently needed to try a Windows 'Repair' procedure - booting from CD
-tried it twice, it failed dismaly so I had to re-install, and this I
note:
The default short date format for REPAIR IS 'M/dd/yyyy' !!!!!!
The default short date format for normal INSTALL is 'd/MM/yyyy.
I think anyone who has done, or needs to do, a repair on XP should be made
aware of this disparity, Otherwise, as you rightly point out, "strange
things" will happen.
Best Regards
Colin.

You have a non-default setting for your date format.
Go to control panel.
Date, Time, Language, and regional options
Regional and Language options
Next to your chosen laguage, click customize
click the date tab
click the drop down controls for long and short date formats and reset
each
to the topmost choice which I believe to be the default.
Click OK to record your choices.
This should eliminate the expiration message.
You may want to do the same for the time format, but this is less
crucial.
If you choose a 24 hour time format, you won't be able to schedule scans
for
afternoon times.
