We have a small network at home. We're both using
Webroot's Spysweeper (full version) and AlWil's Avast
(Home user version) for antivirus software. My husband's
machine is Win2k Pro. All updates installed. Seems that
MSA BETA1sees our website as a browser hijacker and won't
allow him to change his Start Page (ALL USERS) from
www.msn.com to www.d-tconsulting.com (which is our
website). This all started when he tried changing the
Start Page in the first place. Each time he tries, MSA
refuses to make the change. He's tried changing it in
the registry as well. Still no luck. Thought perhaps it
was a permissions issue. Checked his permissions. He
was set as debugger (for some unknown reason) so changed
to Administrator with full rights, still no go. Changed
to Run as System, still no go. Logged off as himself and
logged in as Administrator and tried all above. Still no
go. My machine is WinXP Pro SP2. My MSA BETA1 is
running fine and when I changed my Start Page (ALL USERS)
it changed fine without any hiccups! Any ideas would be
appreciated.
