MS Antispyware 5757 nukes Winfixer

Microsoft updated their signatures today--and now nukes
that damn Winfixer popup.

From the meny click Help->About Microsoft Windows
Spyware, and ensure you see:

Spyware Definition Version: 5757 (9/15/2005 8:41:40 PM)

It worked for me, and I am one happy camper!!!!

I had the same problem with the WinFixer popup ads and
windows command propmts or whatever they are that ask you a
question and you can click YES, NO, or CANCEL it out. I
updated to version 5757 and it DETECTED it and DELETED it
and rebooted my computer after removing WinFixer but right
after rebooting and opening up my web browser it is back.
Do you know how this is possible?
 
Try restarting Windows in safe mode by pressing the F8 function key before
the first Windows screen appears.

Then do a full, deep scan with Microsoft antispyware. Repeat this scan
until nothing further is found.

See whether that does the job.
