I got an unexpected error one day so I uninstalled but
some of the registry keys would not unregister then it
say uninstall complete so I redownloaded MS Antispyware
and it will go through the install and then all of sudden
it tells me that a few registry keys fail to register I
went to regedit and I found them and tried to delete them
but then I get an error when trying to delete them.
Please help

The issue is with the Security Permissions on all the registry keys created
by the installer for Microsoft AntiSpyware installer. There are scores of
these with problems. The best thing to do is to try working under the same
user account as first installed Microsoft AntiSpyware: then you should have
full security access to all these registry keys.

I just downloaded CCleaner onto my PC. How often is it
necessary to run this program?

Tks.

Hi Tks

Well, first set TIF, temporarily internet files
to a lower value.

Within new PCs with large drives it can be GB size of this, so
first check TIF setting within IE - Menu tools > Internet options,
40 MB is a good value.

I am running CCleaner once a week before I scan my PCs and its enough.
This reduces scanning times, risks for malware within temporarily
folders and also keeps my registry clean.

If you have questions about CCleaner they also have a forum.

http://forum.ccleaner.com/

Most important, don´t "scan your PC to death", trusth your real time
protection for both antivirus and antispyware and it´s enough to
use CCleaner then once a week.

Plun,

Thanks for this useful info.
