Finds only few of spyware onPC (missing lots)
then does not get rid of them although it says it did. It
should warn that the problems are probably not
solved - which they aren't.

Spybot does much better and the Symantec Security check
supplies much more info - both for free. Symantec is not
perfect either.

Not ready to be sold I think.

Well, yes it's new to Microsoft, but the product is
neither new now particularly competitive with other
offerings. None of these do the whole job, but both
Spyware Begone and Ad-Aware definitely do a more
competent job.

This product has a LONG way to go.

If Microsoft Antispyware detects, but doesn't succeed in the removal, please
restart in safe mode and do full, deep scans until a scan comes through
clean--perhaps 2 scans.

MSAS does not remove cookies - probably a good portion of the detected items
by other programs.

.
.............If your OPENING your PC to a POOR-Ly RUN
Inter-net website..I don't think there is much anybody
can do..I don't "surf" around alot..so my PC is good most
times..
Since the Installation of McAfee Anti-Spyware for
$$20.00/plus the UPDATES..I seem very well Protected..
The NEW MicroSoft..
Anti-Spyware beta1 is showing the same results as McAfee..
SPY-BOT was a mess..it ran but was more "in your face"
than I really need..
I would judge where I travel on the inter-net before
thinking that MicroSoft or McAfee will CLEAN your PC of
all the "rot"..
They really do mention "ANTI" spyware..
NOT--->anti-ROT.
