MS Anti Spyware in Win XP pro: does not work

It's all loaded OK, and the auto-update works.

But when I try to do a scan, nothing happens. Nothing.

Tried un-installing, reinstalling, rebooting, all the usual
MS tricks.

I'm going to uninstall this program.

This is probably true, MS Anti-Spyware simply does not work. At all. There
has been no documented cases of this product actually functioning beyond
loading and updating. Most likely, this whole anti-spyware effort on MS's
part has been a huge fraud, perpetrated by large software behemoth. But
now you have uncovered the plot. Way to go!.

You should spread the word that it does not work, all should simply
un-install it!

Thanks for your opinion. As I've stated before, folks should use the
programs that they are most comfortable with, and I hope you find one that
suits you.

Sad thing about it is, that Giant Anti Spyware worked quite well until
the limited edition was released as "MS Anti Spyware"....
