Hi,

(I am running Access 2000.)

Can anyone please suggest URLs or books I can read and learn to make my
web-based Access databases secure from hackers?

ThanX for your time and effort,
Howie

Hi, Howie.

One cannot secure an Access database from hackers, because hackers have
tools that break into Access security. Some of these tools can be downloaded
from the Internet for free, so there's no real barrier if these hackers can
access your database from the Web, except the desire to grab your particular
database.

If you need to keep your data secure, then use a client/server database --
which uses tougher security standards -- not a file-based database, such as
Access.

HTH.
