MS Access to Microsft Word NO IDEA!

Hello eveyone,

I have a problem, here it goes....

I have a database and in that database I can creat a report for order
from customers. This report actutally is a invoice. So in a form if
choose a specific order and click on Print Invoice. an automatic Repor
opens up and shows the invoice....but of course to send to th
customers I have to write a opening letter which goes over smal
details from the Invoice...

Currently I am opening a saved opening letter and changing the To
Invoice number and invoice amount in the letters but of course it i
too much when I have to handle like 30 or them for each customer, I a
a human sometimes I make mistakes writing the opening letter in m
word.

Well I want to do some thing that in Access when I priview the repor
and click on a button that word document opens with the values from th
current report that I am viewing....

is it possible to do this....I am really new in ms access and I want t
save some time in work...Please help me

There are two ways to achieve this.
You can maintain your current MS.Word document and create
a mailmerge.
But much simpler, Create a new report in Access in similar
format to your current word document and insert the text
fields for the deisred transfered data items.
Without some more information I can not give you more
specific information. However you could make the report a
part of your current invoice and you could also include a
memo field where you could add as needed some very
specific information if desired and by using cangrow - can
shrink properties this could be totally automatic.
