Hi,

I have created report in ms access 2000. It has two sub reports.
I am able to view the data in that report (Preview mode)
The issue is whenever I send this report to a printer it wont + most of the
time the printer get wiped!!!!!!!!!

Did anyone faced the same issue? if yes plz tell me how to fix it.

PS: I am using application.runcommand for printing a selected report.

Help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi

Let me define few more things about the report.

The hierarchy of this report is as follows
1. Main Report: Main_Report
1.1 Sub report: SubReport_1
1.1.1 Sub Report: SubReport_2

A) Main_Report:
1. Sub report SubReport_1 placed in number header of main report Main_Report
seom
2. detail section has also some data
3. Page Footer has Data time + Name of Report + Page Number

B) SubReport_2:
1. Has Detail and footer Section
2. SubReport_1 placed in footer Section

C) SubReport_1:
1. Has only Header & detail

Printer for all (main and sub reports) is set to Default.

In Preview (Main_Report) display number of pages like:
Data on 1st page
Only lines on 2nd page and so on.

When I send this report to printer it wont print and some time the printer
deleted or status = Unable to connect.

Well you asked: Why are you not using the OpenReport Method?
can you plz tell me the pro & cons of both?

Thanks

For starteres, the Runcommand is obsolete and only remains to support older
code from previous versions. And, it is not specific. The OpenReport deals
specifically with a report.

Thanks a lot Klatuu! I'll replace runcommand with the openrport.

anohter observation on report:
Machine config:
OS: win 2000 Prof. (SP4)
Office: Office xp - SP3
1. Report launched succesfully in preview mode
2. On Printing, all printers attached with the machine disappears

the same report is printing smoothly from other machine.

any idea?

Thanks

Hmmmmmm, don't know. Seems I remember something about this, but I don't
recall the specifics.
Try searching the the Reports group and if you don't find anything, post
your question there.
