Access MS Access help

I have two combo boxes each stores a certain field value into a chosen text box each. I basically want another textbox that adds the value in each text box together to come up with a total price e.g =[COSTPRICE]+[DIETPRICE] I thought this would give me a total price as it would add the two values together but instead it actually adds them e.g if 1 is in the first text box and 22 was in the other, 122 would appear in the total price text box rather than 23.

Any ideas for what i am doing wrong?
