MS ACCESS CORRUPTION TRACKING

We have a large DB with multiple users (20). The DB regularly gets corrupted
and needs repairing. I want to track the cause of the corruption, the last
table and entry made etc to try to eliminate the problems. Is there a way of
doing this?
Thanks

Unfortunately, since the corruption may have resulted in the record not
having been saved, no, there really isn't any way.

Hi Asparks,

I guess there are two sugestions I have:

1. Sometimes I will create a copy of the corrupted database, compact and
repair then in a newly created blank databases import all files from the
corrupted one. Not sure why but 8 out of 10 times it works.

2. I assume your IT dept. backs up your server every night. If the last good
one was yesterday or two days ago, have them pull that and try importing.

Importing is not a miracle cure for corruption but it does work sometimes
and may solve your problem. Give it a shot, can't hurt anything and takes
about 10 minutes.

Hope this helps!
