I have a W2K prof client that is getting the error "Lost
Delayed-write data. The system was attempting to transfer
file data from the buffers to "filename". The write
operation failed, and only some of the data may have been
written to the file."
The user gets this while using a program that writes to a
share accross a Wan. The user is on Subnet B and the
Server is on Subnet A. I have other users on subnet B who
do not get this error. I have found article 293842 which
describes the problkem and resolution however after even
after moving to SP 4 this error still occurs. The server
is not overly stressed.
The cause is "Under heavy disk input/output (I/O) stress
condition while SMB network connection is being used
through the loopback interface, a server (srv) thread and
redirector (RDR) thread may lock."
1.) What do they mean by "being used through the loopback
interface?"
2.) Has anyone had this problem and resolved it?
Thanks,
