CPU is p4 3.0c

Whats does this setting do ?

For any modern OS, select MPS 1.4. Since Hyperthreading simulates two
virtual processors, the Multi Processor Spec has to be adhered to to
remain compatible with existing operating systems.

Stephan (with two REAL processors ;)

Although you may have two REAL processors, I will take a P4C 3.0GHz SMT
processor, over the one in your sig, any day. :-)

Probably 1.4, unless you have some weird problems with it on 1.4.

If you are using ACPI in the operating system, this setting will make no
difference because the ACPI data contains its own information about what
processors are present, and the old MPS way of finding CPUs is not used.
