mport Video With Extention DAT

I want edit my video,but my file with extention DAT (Video CD file).And then
window movie maker ver 2 can't support for this file,may i know what do i do
can solve this problem? and what extention can import to window movie maker ?
Please help and advice to solve this problem.Thanks.

copy the DAT file to your hard drive and rename it to .MPG and it should
work fine in Movie Maker.
