mpg über TV-Karte

Ich nehme über eine TV-Karte Fernsehsendungen auf, die dann im mpg-Format
vorliegen.
Kann ich die dann mit Movie-Maker bearbeiten?

Ich habe es mit "Video importieren" versucht.
Danach kann ich aber nur den Ton abspielen und nicht die Bilder.

Was mache ich falsch?

Using MPEG with WMM2 can cause problems such as this. Papajohn has several
suggestions on his website http://papajohn.org (all English).

Thank you for the answer.
I went to http://papajohn.org.
I tried to use the application VDubMod for converting to AVI and followed
the instructions on http://papajohn.org.
After "File / Open video file" I get the message "No video frames found in
MPEG file".
Has it something to do with PAL / NTSC and where can I choose "PAL" (I
record in Germany)?
