Hi there --

Basic question, I'm sure, but I have inserted a video
file into a PPT presentation, which plays in slide show
view on a couple of PCs, but not another. Instead, only a
rectangle with a line pattern displays while the file's
audio plays. There is a message at the top of the
rectangle that says: Video not available, cannot
find 'vids:MPG4' decompressor. Does anyone know how I can
get this decompressor, or how I might be able to make
this video display properly?

I suspect the codec you used to create the video isn't available on the
one machine. Do you know which one it is?

You might try recompressing/resaving with MPEG1 or 2.
