mpeg4 won't play anymore

hi there. can't get anything to play anymore that is
encoded with mpeg4. It was working just fine, I think I
may have a virus, but mcafee doesn't find it. Anywho, I
wanted to try to reinstall Windows media player, does
anyone think this would help? And if so, how the heck do
I do that (reinstall it?) Please also respond to my
emial. Thanks. I miss watching my mpeg files ;-)

There's a very useful tool called Gspot that will tell you if you have the
proper codec installed on your system for any movie file. Another codec
(have you installed any codec packs recently?) may have overwritten or
corrupted the codec you need. Get Gspot here:
