My MPEG2 files do not play in PPT2003. I understand I need a codec.

How do I find, or purchase, or download the codec that I need?

How would supply it? Microsoft? or someone else?

And is it possible to play DVD directly from PPT with start and stop times?

These should keep you busy for awhile.
What codecs are installed on my system?

How do I determine what codec was used when my media file was created?

You will need a DVD decoder supplied by a third party. (MS does not supply
it). The codec comes with most of the popular DVD players, (PowerDVD,
WinDVD, etc.)

In order to play the DVD in PPT you will need something like PFCMedia to do
it. Currently PFCMedia will play the entire DVD, not selected Start - Stop
points. Our new product PFCPro will be released soon to address this need.
