I recently upgraded laptop to XP and Mpegs created in Videowave 4 will no longer run in ppt. They will run in wmplayer, but when I run them in ppt they flash once then nothing. I have tried recreating them by the same process.. no worky. Note the laptop does not have Videowave installed... created on home PC. Any ideas?

Do other MPG's work?

Just for clarification, I used the following via PPT ( Win XP Pro; MS Office
XP Pro; all Win XP Pro updates installed from Microsofts website). The MPG
used was a 2 hour movie recorded by WinTV PVR2 USB2's capture software into
a DVD standard play format..

| Insert | Movies and Sound | Movie from File ... select MPG file

Question: "Do you want to play automatically in the slideshow, if not it
will play when you click on it." to which I answered "YES".

then | View | Slidewhow |

the MPG played automatically.

It's conceivable VideoWave4 might have a special codec (believe that's the
correct word) required for its' MPG format to be played via PowerPoint.
